INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION FORENSIC PSYCHOTHERAPY 2016 - CHRISTMAS SEMINAR
9 dicembre 2016 – Quaker Meetin House, Oxford UK
IAFP Christmas seminar
Each year the family courts remove children from their parents’ care; and for many parents this will be a repeated experience: both of losing their children and their own experience of being removed as children. This seminar will focus on ways to therapeutic help for parents who struggle to care for their children.
We offer three presentations which will describe different approaches to helping parents whose parenting skills have given rise to professional concern. The presentations include attention to both group and individual work; and work with both fathers and mothers.
We invite participation from social work, mental health professionals, psychotherapists and experts by experience. Speakers include Anna Motz, Gerry Byrne, Anna Williams and Amanda Jones
The day will be facilitated by Dr Gwen Adshead.
